Discover the Kleinwalsertal on cross-country skis: At Nordic the Valley, you’ll find courses for all skill levels, opportunities to meet other cross-country skiing enthusiasts, and special experiences on all three trails. Leave your tracks in the moonlight, enjoy a day in the snow with your family, or glide through the winter to your favorite beats.

steinbockloipe nordic lounge & Moonlight Cross-Country Skiing

At Bernhard’s Gemstel Hock, the Nordic Lounge becomes the place to be for your cross-country skiing break from Wednesday through Friday. The Steinbockloipe trail offers children’s lessons as well as skating lessons for advanced and professional skiers. On Friday, the afternoon wax workshop leads into the week’s big highlight: group cross-country skiing by moonlight.

schwendeloipe history & FAMILY TIME

At the Schwendeloipe, you’ll discover just how much history there is in cross-country skiing. At an exhibition at the Alpengasthof Hörnlepass, historical photos and a presentation will give you insights into winters of the past. On the trail, you’ll get your first taste of skating, while children get active in their classes and on the Burmi kids’ course. On Saturday, the Family Special is one of the highlights:

On the Schwarzwasserloipe, the course program focuses on the classic technique. Whether you're just starting out, getting back into it, or want to work on the finer points, you'll find a course here that matches your skill level.

Whether you’re trying cross-country skiing for the first time, getting back into it after a break, or looking to improve your technique: You’ll find the right option for your skill level in our two-hour group classes. Gain confidence on your first runs, solidify your fundamentals, or specifically refine your technique. The classes in classic and skating styles take place on all three trails.

There are also separate courses for children ages 7 to 13. Together with peers, they’ll discover cross-country skiing - as beginners or advanced skiers, depending on their skill level.

As a course participant, you’ll also enjoy special perks from our local partners: You’ll receive discounts on new equipment and ski rentals. Plus, you can have your cross-country skis waxed once for free - for the best start on the trail.

Friday | STEINBOCKLOIPE Test. Grow. Caterpillar action.

Come by this afternoon: At the waxing workshop, you’ll get practical tips on how to care for your cross-country skis. You can also test cross-country skis from brands like Leki and Fischer for free at the participating exhibitors’ booths. Plus, you’ll get exciting insights into how the trails are groomed - including a ride on a snowcat. This way, even the time leading up to the Moonlight Cross-Country Ski Race becomes an experience in itself.

HIT THE CROSS-COUNTRY TRAIL WITH BURMI familySPECIAL

At the Family Special on the Schwendeloipe, you can enjoy a winter day together centered around cross-country skiing. Young cross-country skiing fans can try their hand at the Burmi Kids’ Course. There’s also live music and an introduction to biathlon. If you’d like to learn more about the area’s history, join the guided tour of the historical collection.
